Twitter Now Streaming Tweets From Artists With Verified Accounts to Music & Video Apps

Twitter has become an important medium for artists and consumers of multimedia alike. Twitter has recently partnered with an online service that mines data from the Twitter stream for relevant information and updates on artists for use on mobile apps.

Twitter has announced partnerships with three music-data services, namely The Echo Nest, Gracenote and Rovi, for the distribution of tweets from popular artists. With the new service, Twitter account data, tweets and mentions from of musicians with verified Twitter accounts can now appear on music apps running on iOS, Android and other platforms.

One particular partner, Echo Nest, will use its Rosetta Stone service to retrieve tweets and other data from Twitter, which will then be integrated with apps like Spotify Radio, Nokia, Rdio, MOG, EMI andiHeartRadio. With the service, listeners can receive Twitter updates from artists while they listen to said artists’ songs on their smartphones, tablets or web browsers.

Meanwhile, Gracenote, which provides music data to iTunes, HTC smartphones, Ford SYNC and Sony Bravia TV sets, will likewise be integrating tweets from artists, so that listeners and viewers will also be able to get these updates as they watch shows or listen to music. Twitter plans to let more companies access its API, so that artist tweets can reach a wider audience. Of course, the only limitation here is that artists will need to have a verified account in the first place.

To date, one app is already running the service, particularly the Discovr Music for iOS (pictured above), which now pulls in tweets from artists, and displays tweets mentioning said artists, whenever their songs are played.

How To Access Gmail Offline|Create Shortcut For Offline Gmai...

To be able to access Gmail account offline, you’ll need to first download and instal Google Gears. If you’re using Google’s Chrome browser, though, you can relax since Chrome comes with Gears installed by default.
So i Personally say that you used google chrome if you want to access offline gmail in good way...

How To Create Shortcut For Offline Gmail

1)) go to Settings->Labs and enable the Offline feature.
2))Gmail should now reload and you will see a new link titled “Offline“ right next to the “Settings“ link in the top right corner of the Gmail window.

3))Click on Offline and Google Gears will throw a warning at you that some website named http://mail.google.com/ trying to access Gears. Since I was quite sure that it’d harmless, I let the website access Gears and you should probably do the same.now begin downloading what it thinks are the most important emails to you. I’m saying “what it thinks” because the Gmail team has a pretty nifty algorithm to determine the emails that it downloads. For me that figure came to “about 4 years” worth of my emails and you might get a different figure, depending on the amount of email that you get.

At any rate, Gears will download about 10000 of your latest emails, not counting the Trash and Spam folder so this should be enough for most of us.

Depending on the speed of your link, this actual process of downloading and syncing emails might take a while...
4))Gears will also offer to create a shortcut for Gmail on the desktop. With this shortcut, you can login Gmail in offline mode right from your desktop.

The Offline Gmail feature also includes a very cool Flaky Connection Mode. In this mode, you can continue using Gmail as you normally would and Gmail will automatically determine if you are online or offline, without the user ever knowing about it.

If you send any emails in this mode and you’re offline, Gmail will keep them in the outbox and send them as soon as you come back online, and you’ll never even come to know about your connection status. In my opinion, you should always keep this option checked. To enable the flaky connection mode, click on the Offline Gmail icon next to the Settings link.

iPhone 5 Pictures Leaked

Whole World is waiting for iPhone 5. Nobody knows how it looks, but we are trying to get first look of iPhone 5. So here is some pictures....

Facebook Messenger for Windows officially released

Facebook has responded to the leak of its Messenger for Windows application by simply releasing an official download. It’s a great way to downplay the leak while keeping users excited.
Facebook started testing the Messenger for Windows desktop client with a limited group of userslast month. The application, which requires Windows 7, provides access to three main Facebook features: Facebook Chat, the new Ticker feed, and notifications. In addition to Windows 7, Facebook Messenger is also already available for Android, iPhone, and BlackBerry.
Facebook has hinted at a few upcoming features for the Windows flavor already: chatting with multiple friends, video calling, limiting chat availability, and editing settings. It’s not clear if the company will be making announcements for every new version or if they will be just quietly released like this first version.
So, what does this application require to keep you updated? First and foremost, you must be logged into Facebook. After you click on the blue “Log In” button pictured above, you will redirected to the facebook.com/desktop/login webpage where Facebook explains that Messenger for Windows requires you stay logged in so that it can deliver chat and notification messages to your desktop. This means you will stay logged into Facebook even after you close your browser.

To log out of Facebook, you’ll need to actually do so from Facebook Messenger for Windows.
Facebook believes users want to use the social network’s real-time features without having to keep a browser window open. The social networking giant is clearly hoping that users will leave Messenger for Windows on throughout the day, probably since most Facebook addicts already do so with a browser tab. In addition to being a standalone application, Facebook Messenger for Windows can be snapped to the side of the screen; that’s probably why it only works for Windows 7.
The application was developed entirely by Facebook and does not constitute a new partnership with Microsoft, which is a big investor in Facebook. It’s not clear if Facebook will offer support for anything before Windows 7, or if it will simply move on towards Windows 8. Clients for Mac and Linux will likely only be released if the Windows 7 version proves popular

Nokia Lumia 800 The first Windows Phone handset

The Nokia Lumia 800 is the first Windows Phone handset to spring from the Microsoft / Nokia tie-up announced in February, and we've got our hands on an early sample to check it out.

The Lumia 800 is Nokia's first Windows Phone powered smartphone and has a 3.7-in AMOLED display and an 8MP camera.

The Nokia Lumia 800 shares its exterior styling with the previously substantially less hyped Nokia N9, a Meego-based smartphone, although the screen size is reduced from 3.9" (854x480 pixels) to 3.7" (800x480 pixels) to conform to the Windows Phone spec list.

LOOKS:

The Lumia 800 is available in three colours – Black, Fuschia and Cyan. It has a polycarbonate body which makes it scratch-resistant. The 3.7-inch glass display has a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass. It has got the perfect sleek and stylish look which will appeal to professionals as well as all those who take ‘style with substance’ as their motto.

Product Summary           Lumia 800

                                                   For                 >  Quality design
                                                                          >  Clever interface

                                                                          >  Zune player takes ages to copy video across
                                                                          >  Mix Radio downloads unavailable

Pros:

  • Very Stylish Looks
  • Great Touch Response & UI
  • Solid Build Quality
  • Good Battery Life
  • Nokia Navigation Suite

Cons:

  • Average Camera
  • Software has Bugs
  • Heavy Reliance on Zune Software on PC

Features

To make sure that they are competitive in this new race, Nokia has given the Lumia 800 best-in-class specs. The Lumia is powered by a 1.4GHz Qualcomm processor and 512MB of RAM and has 16GB of internal storage. However, the Lumia doesn't support external memory so you'll have to make do with the built-in memory. The Lumia sports a 3.7-in AMOLED display with a resolution of 800x480 pixels. Imaging is taken care of by an 8MP autofocus camera with a dual-LED flash. Unlike most phones in its price-range, the Lumia strangely doesn't have a front-facing camera for video chats.

Connectivity options on the Lumia 800 include GPS, Wi-Fi and 3G (HSDPA 14.4Mbps, HSUPA 5.76Mbps) support. It uses a microUSB cable to connect to the PC and charge. The Lumia 800 also uses a microSIM card, so you'll have to either get yourself a new microSIM or get your regular SIM cut down.

Windows Phone 7.5

Now that Nokia has adopted Windows Phone, the Lumia 800 will serve as an introduction to the new OS for a whole lot of people. Windows Phone is closer to iOS than Android with respect to the fact that it simplifies a whole lot of things while removing some extra options. However, it's very different looking and feels very different to use in a good way. Windows Phone will especially suit first-time smartphone users, and if you've been using non-touch feature phones so far, Windows Phone is a very good introduction to the smartphone OS because, most importantly, it doesn't compromise on usability.

Unlike Android, the Windows Phone UI (known as Metro) doesn't rely on multiple homescreens or widgets of different sizes. Instead you have one vertical scrolling homescreen on which you can pin anything from a contact, a website, a song, a video etc. Everything is pinned to the homescreen as a tile- a square/rectangular icon. Some of the tiles are static and work as a simple button while some tiles (such as the e-mail tile, people tile etc.) work as widgets and display real-time updates/notifications or animation. Removing a tile from the homescreen is as easy as holding down on the tile and choosing the remove option from the drop-down menu. Pinning anything to the homescreen is also equally simple.

PERFORMANCE

Battery life is average. The Call clarity too is average too. The touch screen device that runs on Windows Phone 7.5 - Mango operating System has a restrained processor. It has a 1.4 Ghz Qualcomm MSM 8255 single-core processor with 512MB of RAM.
