 AVC is not a very popular format, but MPEG-4, also known as MP4, is played by most devices. This free converter offers three conversion profiles for AVC and three for MP4. 


There is a normal, excellent, and best quality profile for each format. Both audio and video quality change with each profile. Sadly, there is no way to customize the profiles. But you can change the settings manually. You can change the bitrate both for audio and video, the video resolution, and frame rate.

 The conversion process is fairly simple. You just need to add the files to the interface and select a conversion profile; or select conversion settings manually. There is also a timeline which you can use to set the duration of the video, thus eliminating parts of it (the process also known as cutting).
